After seeing the amazing craftsmanship exhibited in the creation of my Kermit commission, I wasted no time in commissioning an Animal 1:1 replica from the same builder late in 2016.
When I was 19 I built an Animal replica based off the old Fisher-Price Animal puppet toy. I used the toy’s head (that came with a nifty eye-blink mechanism) but completely rebuilt the body for my purposes. I also added some marabou to his head so he more closely resembled the original. I still have him today.
My first Animal was the puppet I used for my “Murphy Brown” audition at Warner Brothers. My Guest Starring role on that show was the job that first qualified me for a SAG card.
