Monday the 20th – HEART HEALTH – Well, after having a few rumblings in my chest, and a few other minor symptoms, I’ve decided to go see a heart specialist to make sure I’m healthy. Some of the symptoms I’ve been having include numbness in my left arm, pains in my shoulders, chest, back, etc. I’ve also had palpitations, fluttering, etc. Now, part of this may be due to an old chiropractic issue I had from back in 1997. I was sleeping wrong, and my posture was horrible. Two vertebrae in my neck were squishing a nerve that was feeling sensation to my thumb and index fingers of my left hand. I had many chiropractic visits and it got corrected. At one point, if I felt tingling or numbness, I could “self-correct” by stretching my neck, looking up, etc. But now I’m not entirely sure if my left arm issue is because of that issue returning, or something more serious. Also, the fluttering seems to be worse after I eat, so my friend Joe told me that he had the exact same symptoms I’m having, and he was diagnosed with acid reflux. He said once he got on medication all those symptoms went away. So maybe I have that. Or, perhaps I have a mild arrhythmia. I looked it up on-line and the symptoms sound very similar to what I have. So I went to the Foothill Cardiology Center in Burbank. It came highly recommended, and my own physician referred me there. I saw Dr. Dan Eisenberg…a great guy. They put some thing-a-ma-jigs on my chest and took some readings. Then they took my blood pressure. It wasn’t bad, but it was just at the beginning stages of being high. Then they took a bunch of blood samples. Dr. Dan said to come back in a week or so and take a stress test, and then a follow-up on my blood results. I left feeling like I had done the right thing. But I was still feeling a little numbness in my left hand. So on the way home, as I was thinking about seeing a chiropractor, a Chiropractic office caught my eye. I squealed to a stop and went in. I saw Dr. Dave, another great guy. He gave me an adjustment and wouldn’t you know it, I left feeling more sensation in my left hand! Mystery solved. However, to make sure it stays gone, I’m going to see him on a regular basis for awhile. Then I stopped by the hardware store to pick up a few items for my Halloween costume. Then I went over to the craft store to buy more metal studs for my costume’s belt.

Tuesday the 21st – TOO COOL TUESDAY! – I went to Voice Trax West in the morning to do some spots for Mattress Discounters. Then I walked over to Bank of America to get a key to the night depository. I’ve been having trouble making deposits since they installed their stupid new ATMs but luckily the Studio City branch hasn’t changed them over yet. I spoke with Christina, one of the clerks there, and she said they had no plans to change them. I kissed her hand I was so glad to hear that news! Then I hurried home to record some auditions in my home studio and send them via e-mail to my agents. Then I got in the car and headed over to my mailbox to pick up some mail, and then I went to get some groceries. That night I took a nap, then got up and met up with Chuck McCann and the gang at Bob’s Big Boy for dinner. I came home to record some more auditions in my home studio, e-mailed them to my agent, and went for a three mile jog.

Wednesday the 22nd – X-RAY EXCITEMENT! – I got up in the afternoon and went back to see Dr. Dave at the chiropractic center. He wanted to get some X-Rays of my neck to see if there were any problems. Come to find out, everything looked pretty darn good. I had mentioned to him during the previous visit that the numbness would occur while I was jogging. But then I had a revelation. When I jog at night, I look down to see where I’m going. You know, so I don’t trip over something and really hurt myself. But during the previous night’s run I changed that. I would look down for a little while, but then look up to the sky and see the stars and moon. It really worked! So I told him that was most likely why I was having numbness while jogging. He thought it was a great revelation, particularly since my experiment worked during the run. I got another adjustment (you should have heard my neck CRACK!) and then he put me on the vibrating, rolling, heat table for some therapy. AAAAAHHHH! That felt great. That night I was very relaxed and then went to evening church for meditation. When I got home I recorded more auditions in my home studio and e-mailed them to my agent.

Thursday the 23rd – MORE DRAGON AGE! – I had mentioned before that I’m in the new Dragon Age game. I didn’t get all my lines finished in the first session, so they had me back for another session to complete everything. I play a very conniving, wicked young man. It’s great! Plus, working with Chris, Elliot and Casting Director/Voice Director Ginny McSwain is always a plus! We finished up and I went to pick up some items at Bed Bath and Beyond and the drug store. Have you heard of a thing called Turmeric? It’s in Indian food and is supposed to be a great anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant. So I picked up some of that and I’m taking that now. That evening I took a nap, then went for a two mile jog. I went to Denny’s to get some buffalo chicken strips and a delicious chicken strip salad, then went home to have dinner and watch “Mission Impossible” on DVD.

Friday the 24th – TECHNOLOGY SUCKS! – The previous night I noticed that my cell phone was giving me what my webmaster and pal Scott Sebring calls “the blue screen of death.” It happens with computers, and it happened with my cell phone. I really loved this cell phone. I became attached to it. Now what? I couldn’t read text messages, or phone numbers or anything. So even though I was planning on going to the shooting range again, I decided I needed to get my phone situation handled. After all, for an actor, it’s your lifeline! So I went to the Verizon store and bought the upgraded version of the phone I have. However, since technology sucks, THEIR computer network was down and all the paperwork had to be generated by hand! Add to that the fact that my own computer has been acting very strangely, and having problems booting up lately. I’m starting to think that I need to stop relying on technology so much in my life. I stopped by the bank and deposited some checks, then went home to get ready for dinner. Scott and Vickie Sebring were coming by to meet up with my pal Bruce Kulick for dinner. We had a delicious dinner at Vitello’s in Studio City. The rest of the night I worked on stuff around the house, watched “Mission Impossible” on DVD, and went to sleep.

Saturday the 25th – SUN & SHOPPING! – My friend GloZell stopped by and we went to It’s a Wrap. They had marked down their Halloween stuff a full 75% and I had my eye on a few things. So we went over and shopped a bit. Then we went to my friend Fred Westbrook’s house to hang out by his pool. GloZell is one of the most downloaded comedic bloggers on the net, and we’re all figuring out a way to turn that into a TV concept. We had a lot of fun, but I was getting hot. Time to go home. Then I went to get dinner with a friend, helped her with her Halloween costume, and we watched “Pan’s Labyrinth.” I had heard a lot of great things about it, but I was not a fan. There were lots of disturbing things in that movie, ones that I hope to never see again. So, I guess I’ll be trading that DVD in for credit soon.

Sunday the 26th – DAY OF REST – I slept really late in the afternoon, then got up to walk my dog Sassie. When I got back inside, it was such a nice afternoon, I laid down in the living room for awhile. Then I got up for evening church. Afterwards, I had a bowl of cereal, and then took a nap in the living room by the fire. It’s getting cool enough in the nights now that I’ve been sparking up the fireplace. It’s nice. And after all, Sunday IS a day of rest, isn’t it? I got up around midnight, did some auditions, and then went for a three mile jog. When I came back Spook (my all-white cat) was laying on my all-white blanket on the floor of my living room. Sassie decided to go lay down and almost laid right down on the CAT! Spook saw her big doggie butt heading his way, his eyes got wide, and he darted out of the way! I laughed until I cried. Poor Sassie…I guess her vision isn’t what it used to be. And after all, sometimes when Spook’s on the white blanket, it’s even hard for ME to see him!

And how was YOUR week??!!
