I heard Andy Grammer sing “Keep Your Head Up” on “The Tonight Show” and thought it was a great song, with very moving lyrics. Enjoy!

Tuesday the 6th – POST HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS! – I was up early for another Garfield session at Buzzy’s in Hollywood. As we approach the end of the third season episodes, it’s fun to watch the synergy between he cast. We actually did both 11 minute cartoons in almost one complete take. We went back when we were done and picked up a line here and there, but director Mark Evanier said that he’s going to use most of what we did in the first take! We’re all hoping that a season 4 pick up is right around the corner. We’re having so much fun it would be a shame to see it all end. When we were done I went to CVS to pick up more prescription nose spray. I was still having periodic sinus headaches and I’m not sure why. It would seem the inflammation in my right sinus is gone, but in the right side of forehead it gets achy from time to time. I headed home to check some e-mails, then I went to NBC for the taping of “The Tonight Show.” Later I went home and took a nap, and later that night my old pal Kristy came by to catch up.

Wednesday the 7th – WILD WEDNESDAY! – I got to actually sleep in a bit today, but got a call from my agent telling my to go to NBC to do the voice of a talking dog for a “TS” bit. Cool! When I finished that I was off to Voice Trax West to do another session for the US Airways IVR system (Interactive Voice Response) on their phone lines. Apparently the powers-that-be at US Airways are very happy with how everything has turned out. That’s wonderful! We all certainly put a lot of hard work in on it. I also talked to Andrew at Voice Trax about Paul Michael Glaser’s audio book “Chrystallia.” Paul has finished the narration and we’re going to QC the tracks to see if we need to do pick-ups. Andrew is going to burn CDs of all the tracks so we can listen to them and we’ll compare notes next week. But things are definitely rolling! I headed over to NBC for the taping of “TTS” and then went home to check e-mails. I got an interview request via e-mail, so I spent awhile answering all of the questions. My pal Edi came over to catch up and get some food.

Thursday the 8th – THE TERRIFIC TORINO! – I slept in a bit again, but headed out to Glendale to my painter’s place to see how the work on my Gran Torino was progressing. It looked amazing and the stripe tip was perfect! When I bought the car the car itself ran great, and the paint job was pretty good. But the tip of the stripe on the front fenders was painted wrong. So my pal Mario fixed it right up. He also suggested getting the car color sanded…taking off the clear coat, getting back down to the paint and buffing it up. Then they put a new clear coat all over it. Sounded good to me, so I told him to go for it! He seems to think the car will be ready next Tuesday. I drove over to Margarita Mix in Hollywood to do a new “Star Wars”-related videogame. It was great to hear the voice of my old pal Darragh O’Farrell again from LucasArts. He gave me one of my first voice-over jobs ever. It was a session that only lasted about a half hour, but boy was it fun! Then I sped off to Studiopolis in Burbank to do a few lines for an upcoming “Bleach” episode. We finished up and I headed home to change clothes and get over to “TTS” for the taping. The comedy kings at “TTS” decided to slightly alter the talking dog bit we did the day before, so I stayed late after the taping to voice it. Fun! I hit Quizno’s on the way home and got a sandwich, then took a nap. When I got up I realized I was all out of apples, and I love to eat apples during my nightly “TV Time” before bed, so I walked down to a local store and got a half dozen large red delicious apples. MMM!! I spent some time paying bills, getting a bank deposit ready, and doing other stuff around the house. I got to bed fairly early to be ready for an early session the next day.

Friday the 9th – OLD FRIEND FRIDAY! – I was up early to do a seed commercial which will run in the Midwest. We recorded at Voice Trax West and was done in an hour. Then I took a bunch of “retired” shirts to Goodwill. I got home to check e-mails, then I got a call from my agent to be at “TTS” by 11:30 for two comedy bits. Alice Cooper was going to be on the show that day doing a song from his new album, and my old pal Chuck Garric plays bass for Alice. I went to the dressing rooms and just missed Chuck by a few minutes. So I headed out to get lunch and stop at It’s a Wrap to check on their new Halloween stock. I headed home to do some laundry, and I went into “TTS” early to meet up with my friend Bruce Kulick and his girlfriend Lisa. They were my guests at “TTS” that day because they wanted to see Chuck and Alice. Once I got there, I also caught up with Chuck and his new wife Lindsay! Bruce, Lisa, Chuck, Lindsay and I were all in the hallway looking at pics of Chuck and Lindsey’s new boxer doggie named Sookie. The show was fabulous and Alice was terrific! When the show wrapped we all met over at Bob’s Big Boy to see the vintage cars they have there every Friday, and have some dinner on the patio. Chuck and Lindsay even brought Sookie to dinner. What a great doggie! Very sweet and social! My friend Alex, who just moved in from Arizona, joined us at the end. We walked around and looked at all the great cars, the great doggies and the cute girls. I told them that vintage cars, great dogs and cute girls is all I ever need. I went home and got a nap. I stayed up literally all night watching episodes of “The Saint!” In fact I didn’t get to bed until 7am!

Saturday the 10th – Lazy Saturday! – Because I didn’t get to bed until very early in the morning I didn’t wake up until 3pm! I hopped on my bicycle and met my pal Alex and Chuck McCann for lunch at the Studio Cafe. We ate on the patio so Alex could bring her little doggie Lady. It was a great day for a bike ride! I saw my pal Ernie standing in the parking lot of Studiopolis, which is right across the street from the restaurant. I biked over to say hi to him and we talked for a bit. Then it was back home to clean the house for movie night. We had a great movie night! We watched “Scarface” on Blu Ray! Then, in tribute to those who lost their lives on 9/11/01, we watched the movie “United 93.” I had it in my collection for years but never had the guts to watch it. But as we watched it, nobody said a word. It was powerful and impactful! A wonderful piece of filmmaking! But I had another sinus headache so I headed off to bed when everyone left. I meant to go to sleep, but I stayed up until 7:30 watching a compilation of video shot on the day of September 11, 2001. It was compelling and I couldn’t get to sleep!

Sunday the 11th- GOD BLESS THE HEROES! – I was praying all day that nothing crazy would happen on this, the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Thankfully, nothing did. I got up at 1 and fed Spook the cat, but then went back to bed until evening church. After a somber church service commemorating those who lost their lives on 9/11, I ate dinner with Edi, her kids, my friends Amanda and Sara at Little Toni’s. I went to CVS to pick up some supplies, got some frozen yogurt and then headed home to prepare for the new week. Already my Monday was packed full, and Tuesday was pretty full as well. I’ll be getting a new computer installed this week, plus I have my semi-annual dentist appointment. Fingers crossed for no new cavities!

And how was YOUR week??!!!
