Monday the 15th – RUNNING RUNNING RUNNING! – I went to Voice Trax West in the morning to do a quick session for the kind folks at Steak ‘N’ Shake. Then I had to swing by the vet’s to pick up some food for my dog Sassie. Then I stopped by my local craft store Kit Kraft to get some supplies for my new “monster wall” that I’m making for Planet Wallywood. I have 5 1/4 scale Monster figures that I bought from Sideshow Toys and I placed them on the ledge over my entertainment center. But the background I’m making for it is a mock castle wall. So my friend Joe cut a piece of plywood just the size I needed, with two windows cut out and an arched doorway. So I’ve been covering the plywood with this faux plastic facing that resembles the rocks of a castle wall. It’s going to look awesome when it’s all finished, painted and installed! Later that afternoon I went to Studiopolis Burbank to record a promo for the upcoming “Naruto” DVD. That night I met up with my buddy Bruce Kulick, as we took our dogs down to the local cafe and had a nice dinner on the patio. It was a really great evening and the weather was perfect! Then I went home to record a bunch of voice-over auditions in my home studio to send to my agent.
Tuesday the 16th – BOB & BOB’S! – In the morning I went back to Voice Trax West to record a new voice-over for the Avera hospitals. Then I hit the grocery store and picked up a few grocery items. I got home and got set up for my buddy Bob Belanchia, who represents many celebrities for autograph shows. One of his clients is Leslie Nielsen, so we sat at my computer and grabbed select photos from Leslie’s movies on DVD. Then a buddy of mine met me at a local gun store. We decided that we were going to exercise our second amendment rights to purchase handguns. I’ve always been a fan of the James Bond gun the Walther PPK, so I bought one of those. Along with the purchase, we got a free one-year membership to a local shooting range. Later that night, I met up with Chuck McCann and company at our usual Bob’s Big Boy Tuesday night dinner club. What fun! Later, I went for a nice two mile jog!
Wednesday the 17th – HOT IN HOLLYWOOD! – I went to Sound Deluxe studios in Hollywood to audition for a new videogame. While I was there, I walked down to the Virgin Megastore to see about buying some DVDs. But the ones I wanted they didn’t have, so I headed home. That night I took a nap, and then got up to do some auditions in my home studio.
Thursday the 18th – A DAY OFF! – Whew! After buzzing about all week, it was nice to have somewhat of a day off! I slept late, relaxed and did some things around the house. That night I met up with my friend Fred for dinner at Little Toni’s. After my dinner digested, I took a nice two mile jog.
Friday the 19th – FRENZIED FRIDAY! – I got up early to do another voice session for the new animated series “Gormiti,” but when I got to the session I realized that the character they called me in to do had previously been done by another actor. So, they called him in to record, and sent me home. I guess there was some sort of mistake on the cast list. I had a meeting at my church after noon, and then I headed over to a session at Voice Trax West for something called Money Smart. When that session was done, I stopped by Quizno’s and got a sandwich. Then I ate it in the garage of Davis-Glick studios while I was waiting for my next session. It was a session for a series of videogames about animals. I was all about that! It’s called the Petz series. Watch for it! They sound like really fun games! It was a fun session with Jim and Jasmine, but I was exhausted from the busy day. So I went home to take a nap, and when I got up I met with Chuck McCann and Fred Westbrook for a late dinner at DuPar’s in Studio City! What fun!
Saturday the 20th – LAZY DAY! – My maids came by in the mid afternoon to clean up Planet Wallywood. Then Scott and his wife Vickie stopped over so we could go check out the latest additions at It’s a Wrap in Burbank. We managed to find one more pair of tights from the movie “The Phantom,” and Scott and Vickie got some other great things as well, a few costumes from “Coneheads!” Then we stopped at Denny’s to grab some quick dinner, and then Scott set about working on my computer to install a program I had been having trouble with. While he was working, we watched the movie “The Phantom” on DVD and eyeballed scenes where the specific costume pieces we own were featured. After Scott and Vickie left I watched another episode of “Charlie’s Angels” from season 3 and went to sleep.
Sunday the 21st – SMOOTH SUNDAY! – I slept in, but got up in time for evening church. Then I came home to do about 25 auditions that were in my inbox. I finished them and sent them to my agent just in time, because my friends Joe and Zandra came by for dinner. They were at the Emmy awards and wanted to go to dinner. So I wrapped up the auditions and we headed to Little Toni’s for dinner. When I got back, I finished up some stuff around the house, let my dinner settle, and I went for another 2 mile jog.
And how was YOUR week??!!
