We’ve both been so busy this is the first time we’ve been able to get together to get her paid. Then I headed off to the post office to mail off some eBay stuff. I picked up a package at my mailbox, got food at Taco Bell, and then headed home to start writing two weeks’ worth of Wally’s Week. It was a long one because I had been out of town enjoying some vacation time. I grabbed a quick nap, and then got up later to do my auditions, finish Wally’s Week, eat some cereal, and hit the hay.

Tuesday the 10th – FILM PREP! – Around 2 I had a quick session for American Airlines at Voice Trax West. As is my tradition when I have a session at Voice Trax, after the session I go next door to Chin Chin and get some combo fried rice to go. Delicious! I went to Staples to pick up a few office supplies, and then headed home to do some work and put my purchases away. I grabbed a nap later, and then got up to do a bunch of auditions. I spent about an hour prepping for a session for an animated film on Wednesday morning. I read through the entire script they e-mailed me to prep for the part I’d be doing. It’s a fun film, but this is just the first of many sessions to come. I’m sure they’ll be tweaking it along the way before they settle on the final version. But it looks like I’m in for a very fun time! I fed and walked Roxy, ate some cereal and hit the hay!

Wednesday the 11th – SHORT SHIFT! – Bright and early, I arose at 8am sharp. I was due at L.A. Studios for a four hour session for this new animated film I’ve been cast in. But when I arrived they got me right into the studio, and after a few hours I was finished. I was expecting a much longer day, but they had a lot to record with the other actors so they said they’d get the majority of my stuff next week. So afterwards I went home to do some work. Later that night I went to see my stylist Andie at Floyd’s Barbershop to get another tweak on my color. Another stylist filled in for her last week while she was at the hospital with her son and his wife, getting ready to welcome their new baby. The replacement stylist didn’t mix my color right and it had started to fade almost immediately. So after Andie fixed it up, I headed to CVS to pick up a prescription and went home to feed the pets. I grabbed a short nap, and then got up later to do some auditions. I worked around the house some, and prepped for the upcoming San Diego Comic Con. I constructed some outlines for the three panels I’d be doing. I was going to be a very busy little bee during Comic Con! And I’m taking Roxy with me so she can stay in the hotel while I’m there. It’ll be a fun trip! I’ve never taken her to San Diego before, and I’m not sure how she’ll react to the shoreline. I made some spaghetti and started watching the Season One DVD set of “Happy Days.” It was quite a different show when it started out!

Thursday the 12th – HAPPILY HEALING HEALTHILY! – My first stop of the day was at the Voicecasters in Burbank. They wanted me to sing the blues for a commercial audition. Then I went for my follow-up visit at my oral surgeon’s office. Dr. Mizin looked inside and said that everything is healing perfectly, and the bone graft took magnificently! YES! In about 3 months I’ll go back and have the posts installed for the implants. I can’t wait to have teeth back there again! I got a cheeseburger at Del Taco (yes, the best fast food hamburger in L.A. is at a taco place!), and then hit It’s a Wrap. I wanted to look around for a few shirts to wear to Comic Con. I was going to be interviewed, so I can’t wear anything with logos or brand names on them. I stopped by the post office to mail some things, and then looked in on my mailbox to get my packages. The box I sent myself from Sioux Falls had arrived! I went to see one of my seamstresses to pick up a few shirts she had been working on for me, and then went home to open my box from Sioux Falls and start doing my laundry. I did work around the house, organized some photos I’d be using for one of my Comic Con panels, and took a short nap. I got up later and did my auditions, fed the pets, drove over to Denny’s to get some food to go, and then headed home to get ready for bed, eat my food and watch a few more episodes of “Happy Days.” I just can’t get over how different it was in the first season when it was a “single camera” show. I almost kind of liked it better than the multi-camera sitcom. The content of the shows were more poignant and “weighty.”

Friday the 13th – MOO-HOO-HA-HA-HA-HA! – Well, for me Friday the 13th is usually pretty good. I decided that I was going to relax all day and enjoy my Friday. I slept in late, then got up to meet with my friend Kelly who was working on a great new lifesize figure for the Batman ’66 exhibit at the Hollywood Museum. (We’ll be unveiling it at our Comic Con panel on Thursday the 19th!) But Kelly got tied up with stuff and couldn’t make it. I noticed that I had an ant problem in my kitchen, so I moved all the food off the shelf and plugged their points of entry with packing tape. I hope it works. I grabbed a nap and then got up later to do some more work around the house, and do some more photo organizing for my upcoming cosplay pane on Sunday the 22nd!

Saturday the 14th – PESTS? OR SPECIAL EFFECTS!? – Just after 2 I got up to meet with my pal Kelly again, but he was still having a problem finding transportation to my house. The lifesize figure he had been working on is so large, he had trouble finding a vehicle large enough to transport it! He had no luck finding a ride before I had to get going to do my own errands. So I told him not to worry about it. He was going to bring it over so I could do some work on it making some arm bands. But instead of having the figure here to work on in person, he just gave me the measurements I needed and I would make them “blind.” Normally I like to have the subject here to work on, but it simply wasn’t possible. I sped off to do some grocery shopping, and I hit the craft store for a few items I’d need to make the arm bands. I got home and met with my pals Mark and Boz about one of the panels I’d be doing. Mark is moderating and Boz will be doing A/V for the panel. I still had a few straggler ants roaming around on the counter, so I found a few extra points of entry and plugged those too. However, the movie “Ant-Man” was on the schedule that night for movie night, so I considered leaving the ants alone and telling my guests that I had concocted amazing special effects just for the occasion. After further consideration I decided against the latter, and purified the kitchen of all bug life. After movie night I grabbed a nap, and then got up to work on the arm bands per the pattern Kelly gave me. I printed out the pattern to the exact sizes he mandated and got to work. As the glue dried on them I made my traditional Saturday Night Super Salad and watched an episode of “SNL” from the second season hosted by Jodie Foster. It was a great episode and I envied her. She was only 14 when she hosted, and I would have been right around that age at the time. I can only imagine how cool it would have been to host SNL at that age! WOW!

Sunday the 15th – CANCELED CONFERENCE CALL! – As usual on Sunday, I slept all day. My alarm went off at 4:30pm so I could be up for a 5pm conference call with a few business cohorts. But just before it was scheduled to occur, one of my contacts texted me to say his hard drive on his computer had been corrupted and he was at the store all afternoon trying to get it fixed. So no conference call. Just as well, because it allowed me the chance to hit evening church. I hadn’t been for several weeks because I had been out of town. After church my “adopted grandma” Shirley and I went to Tally Rand to eat. They’re very old school there and it’s a wonderful place. One of their delicious staples is their hot turkey open-faced sandwich. YUM! After a quick stop at Wienerschnitzel for a banana split I took Shirley back to her place. Then I went home and crashed on the couch for a bit. I got up to do a few auditions, did a little more work on the arm bands, and then hit the hay so I could be up for another early session for the animated film on Monday morning.

And how was YOUR week??!!

[6

post-5132","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-wallysweek
["GET
