First order of business was to schedule my upcoming colonoscopy. They wanted to do it on April 15, but I told him, “I have to take it up the backside from the IRS on that day, I don’t need it from you too!” He laughed. Then he wanted to schedule it on April 29th, but I’ll be on my way to South Dakota that day. Then he asked about May 2nd, but I’ll be in the third row at the Paul McCartney concert in Sioux Falls, South Dakota that day. Then he wanted to schedule it on May 6th. But that’s my birthday and I’ll be darned if I’m going to do it then! So we settled on May 9th. So I have THAT to look forward to. I drove to Mr. Stitch to pick up my starfield bowling shirt. They embroidered my name on it with silver thread and it looks amazing! Then I went to Prints Charm’n to get my new business cards, but they just printed 200 of my old cards…not the new design. So I’ll get them next week. I got some vitamins, hit my box to pick up my mail, mailed some stuff at the post office, got lunch at McDonald’s, and then I head to CVS to pick up a prescription and a few other supplies. I drove over to Staples to pick up a small computer monitor. I’m setting up a secondary computer in the Puppet Room so my assistant Sara can start scanning some old photographs and archive them for safety. I picked up a frame at Aaron Brothers for the Dell TV commercial storyboard they gave me. I went to Bed Bath and Beyond to pick up some new sheets and some miscellaneous stuff, and then I headed home to unload my treasures and feed the pets. I sat down and tackled Wally’s Week, and then took a short nap. I got up later in the evening to do auditions and then hit the hay to start in on “Batman” season 3 on Blu Ray. It really made me miss my friend Yvonne Craig, who passed away late last year.

Tuesday the 29th – RAINY TUESDAY! – It was nice to sleep until 3:30 in the afternoon. Especially since it was overcast and rainy. I got on the phone with Bodie and chatted about my 1974 Gran Torino, which was stolen from his shop in January, found a few days later, and is currently at his shop being restored, painted and repaired. I did some work around the house, and then cleaned up and headed to the Smokehouse for steaks with my old pal Mark Fisher. On the way home I stopped at the grocery store and picked up some supplies, and then headed home to do a little work and grab a nap. When I got up later I did some writing, worked on the computer, walked Roxy, and then made a delicious pot pie and watched more “Batman” season 3 on Blu Ray. This is shaping up to be a nice relaxing week so I’ll be able to get some work done and a few things taken care of.

Wednesday the 30th – FUN AT PROFILES! – The alarm went off at 11:30 and I had a last-minute audition in my inbox. I recorded it and sent it into my agents. Then I sped off to Profiles in History in Calabasas to drop off an item I’m auctioning in June. I saw some great items there which will be auctioned at their next auction. I saw an original Captain Kirk tunic and pants set, Losira’s costume from the “Star Trek” episode “That Which Survives” starring the lovely and talented Lee Meriwether. And an original Captain Marvel costume from the old movie serials. Amazing stuff! I headed back home but stopped off at Voice Trax West to do a few pick-up lines for a new song I’m working on. I won’t tell you much about it now, but when it’s ready to release I’ll give you more info. I stopped by Jersey Mike’s to get a sandwich, and then headed home to feed and walk Roxy. My friend Jasmine came over to try on a costume for an upcoming bit for “Wacky Wally’s Vintage Toys.” But I want it to be a surprise for you, so I won’t let the cat out of the bag quite yet. I took a short nap and then got up for auditions and some other work. I finished up the second half of my Jersey Mike’s #13 while watching more “Batman” season 3.

Thursday the 31st – TAKIN’ CARE OF BUSINESS! – There was a little last-minute work to do before my lunch meeting with Kevin Castro, the producer of my new webseries “Wacky Wally’s Vintage Toys.” We discussed a lot of great ideas and had a very productive meeting (in addition to a yummy meal!) I took Kevin back home and then gassed up the Mustang. I headed home to meet with my friend Brittney Powell to discuss some more script ideas for “WWVT.” I took a quick nap and then got up for a bunch of auditions. I did a little work around the house and then headed to Denny’s to get some food to go so I could enjoy it while watching more “Batman” season 3 on Blu Ray!

Friday the 1st – A LIFE CHANGING DECISION! – After careful thought and consideration, today was the day that I decided to move back to leave Los Angeles at the end of 2016 and move back to South Dakota. APRIL FOOL! My carpet cleaners arrived around 2:30 to clean all the carpets in Planet Wallywood (long overdue!) and while they got started I walked Roxy over to the groomer’s to get a bath. It got her out of the house so they could work with ease, plus she was getting rather smelly. The Smile Specialists were there at the groomer’s so I decided it was time to have her teeth cleaned too. I had wanted to take Spook over to see about getting his teeth cleaned, but wrangling him was difficult. So I’ll just take him over next time. His Vet wants to clean his teeth in the office, but they want to anesthetize him to do it. I’m nervous about that, and Smile Specialists say they might be able do it without anesthetization. I want them to check him first before I take him to the Vet. While the carpet cleaners worked I made some calls, did some work at my desk, and did some other stuff. At 5:30 I drove over to pick up Roxy from the groomers, and then we picked up my 89 year old “adopted grandma” Shirley for dinner. We had a great dinner on the patio at Paty’s. I got back home and was ready to take a nap, but I got a text from my friend Joe Pendleton in Lompoc. He said his daughter Katie and her son Jamison were stranded in L.A., and asked if they could stay at my house. The hotel they had reserved was in a “skeevy” area and they weren’t comfortable there. So I had them drive on over. My neighbor texted me to ask if I could walk her dog Abby the Greyhound, which I did with great delight. I love Abby. Great dog! When I got back Katie and Jamison arrived, and I set about making up the bed in the Puppet Room for them, and making them comfortable. Since they had just endured a long drive and were hungry, we ordered pizza, put on our pajamas and watched some “Batman” TV episodes. Jamison loves Batman and can’t get enough!

Saturday the 2nd – XANADUDES! – When I got up around 2, Katie and Jamison had already left for Universal Studios. I did a little work around the house, and then went to get some groceries and other supplies for movie night. I got home and put all the chairs back as the carpets were not completely dried. Katie and Jamison came back and swam in the pool for a bit, and we got set up for movie night. We watched the newly released Blu Ray of “Xanadu,” a guilty pleasure which is a lot of fun. It’s particularly fun with my nutty group of friends, whose running commentary was one of the funniest things I’ve ever heard. I was in tears from laughing so hard. The movie is a little campy, but there is a TON of great music in there, and a boatload of radio hits! When movie night ended Katie and Jamison hit the hay, but I continued working. Jamison was fascinated by my Arkham “Riddler” cane hanging on my wall. So I took it down and let him hold it for a picture. Even though he’s just 7, he faithfully recreated the famous Riddler pose from the Arkham poster. He told me that he had bragged to his friends that the voice of the Riddler from the “Arkham” games was a friend of his. Too funny! I sat down and wrote up some ideas I had for a future episode of “Wacky Wally’s Vintage Toys,” and then I made my usual Saturday night super-salad and watched the old BBC “Avengers” show before bed.

Sunday the 3rd – WHAT’ UP CHUCK?! – After sleeping in until 4, I got up and did some work. My pal Mark sent me a rough cut of the slideshow he put to the new song I’ve been working on, and it looked terrific. He’s going to make a few changes and then we’ll be ready to post. I asked my pal Bruce Kulick if he would add a few guitar licks to it and he’s going to turn something around later this week. Roxy and I headed to evening church, and after the service I took Shirley out to dinner at Jerry’s Famous Deli. When I walked in I saw my old pal Chuck McCann! I literally hadn’t seen him in a few years, and it was so good to see him again I actually got misty. I had missed him. We used to see him around town all over the place, but none of us have seen him in quite a while. We were actually kind of worried about him, but he was in fine shape and enjoyed chatting again. He enjoyed meeting Shirley too! He promised to stay in touch and get together for lunch soon. I came home and grabbed a nap, and then got up to do some work. I did a TON of auditions, and then made hot dogs and watched a “Batman” 3 parter!

And how was YOUR week??!!

PIX FROM THE WEEK

<img decoding="async" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-2956" class="wp-image-2956" src="https://www.wallyontheweb.com/wallysweek/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/ww_20160328_1.jpg" alt="This Captain Marvel tunic, an original piece from the old Republic serials, will go up for auction with the pants and cape in June at Profiles in History.
