It was a lot of fun! I finished up in an hour and then came home to meet up with Sergio my hair guy to put some hair on my new Michael Myers masks. (For the history on these masks, check out previous Wally’s Week entries) We had a lot of fun hanging out all afternoon while he worked, listening to 70’s music on the satellite. I did some work on the computer while he glued, trimmed and styled the hair on the masks. Sergio is a former “American Bandstand” dancer, so we both have a fondness for the great tunes of the 70’s. When he left at 6:30 I hopped in the Jacuzzi to relax. Then I worked on my computer some more, grabbed a nap, and got up to do my auditions and work around the house. I made some Buffalo Mac and watched “The Girl From U.N.C.L.E.” before bed.

Tuesday the 10th – HAIRLINE FINISH! – Sergio returned at 11 to finish the hairing of the masks. He finished up and they looked fabulous! I was working on the computer and tried to get free by the time I had to leave for my Regenix appointment, but it wasn’t happening. So I called to postpone until Thursday. I watched the debate and then hit the Jacuzzi for a quick dip. I did my auditions and then hit the hay early so I can be up bright and early Wednesday for a “Sonic” session.

Wednesday the 11th – FULL DAY OF FUN! – Around 8:30 I got up and walked to Studiopolis so we could do another session for “Sonic Boom.” The scripts were so darn funny, the actors kept laughing and ruining takes. The writing on this show is so great! I walked back home to do a quick session in my home studio. I did a little work on my computer and then headed over to Jim Ojala’s effects studio to have him do some last-minute paint touch-ups on my Michael Myers masks. I have a small one I call “Little Mike,” and two larger ones which are digital enlargements of “Little Mike.” One I’m keeping, and the other is going to my good friend Scott Maguire in Sioux Falls. We’ve both been fans of the first two “Halloween” movies for years. I also took Jim my “Beast” mask which I bought at Disneyland back in the early 90’s. The horns were thin latex and they rotted almost right away. Luckily I kept them and wrapped them in duct tape to keep their shape. Jim will restore them and replace them on the mask. I spent 3 hours at his studio working with him on the perfect paint job for the Michael Myers masks. They look fabulous! I got back home and prepared to leave for the movie theatre to see “Spectre” again. This time I met my friend James, Mark and Connie, and I went with my assistant Sara. What a great movie! I caught a lot of stuff seeing it a second time! I got home and did my auditions and then did some work around the house. I sent out my movie night e-mails and by the time I got to bed, I realized I had been running close to a 24 hour day! Whew!

Thursday the 12th – WHERE DID THREE YEARS GO?!! – Luckily I didn’t have to be up until 11, but I still only got a few hours of sleep. I went to Voice Trax West to do a radio spot as Santa Claus at noon. It was only a half hour session, which was great, so by 12:30 I was off and running on my errands. I took my pal Scott’s Michael Myers mask to UPS to mail it off. I don’t really trust Fed Ex anymore, so I’m going to start shipping UPS a lot more. But overnight to Sioux Falls, South Dakota was over $200! I decided to ship it at a slightly lower rate, so it would arrive on Monday. Scott’s waited for it this long, a few more days won’t hurt I guess. I went to Taco Bell to get some lunch, and then headed home. I drove over to Regenix for a quick follow-up visit. On the way out of my garage I noticed that my garbage wasn’t picked up on Wednesday. My neighbors didn’t get their garbage picked up either. This happens about once every two months. Sure enough I checked my records. The last time it happened was late August. I’m not sure why the dingleberry driving the trash truck misses us, but it’s making me mad. I called their number to file a complaint, and after being on hold for a half an hour, it automatically put me over to a voice-mail. Bureaucracy. Bah! When I got back from Regenix I took a short nap, and then went over to a local restaurant to meet up with two of my Voice Over agents; Vinnie and Sumeet. Every three years I need to re-sign the contracts with my agency, and it was that time again. Hard to believe it’s come up already. Time really flies! We had a fun time chatting at dinner, and we spent about 3 and a half hours at the restaurant! I got some groceries on the way home, and when I hit home I had a bunch of auditions to do. I got ready for bed and watched the final “Girl From U.N.C.L.E.” episode. The DVD had started to screw up and I was putting it in a bunch of different players to see if it would work better. Just my luck…the final episode in the set, and it’s skipping around freezing. Luckily, when I put it in my Blu Ray player, it still had problems, but it wasn’t anywhere near as bad as it was on my regular DVD player. The next show on my docket is “The Addams Family.”

Friday the 13th – FINALLY! I’m doing a little rearranging around Planet Wallywood to make room for a new display. I made a new base for her and covered it with blue velvet. I told her to return it because it wasn’t what she paid for. And she paid a LOT! So we hauled it all the way back down the stairs, back into her truck and off she went to return it. When I got back inside to get set up for movie night I suddenly got hit by the busy week. I was bushed! When movie night started I could barely stay awake! After movie night ended I grabbed a nap on the couch, and then made a salad and watched “The Persuaders.” I only have two more episodes after this one, and I’m very sad that it’ll soon be over.

Sunday the 15th – YOU RANG?! – Being absolutely exhausted from the VERY busy prior week, I enjoyed sleeping until 4! I got up in time for evening church, and when that was over, I hopped in the car and headed to my friend Daniela’s birthday party.
