PART IV: Finding the Perfect Wig

Amalia the wigmaker from Naimie's in Hollywood,
measures Wally for a custom-made wig for the Chaney
character. The wig will be hand-tied using ash-gray
and silver Yak hair!

The custom-made wig was made by Naimie's in
North Hollywood.  It involved hand tying strands of
gray and silver yak hair onto a lace head piece.  The
lace is flesh colored and is like mesh. Since the hat
will be worn at all times in character, it was not
necessary to add hair to the top of the piece.  The
yak hair not only offered the right monochromatic
colors needed, but conveyed a shaggy, inhuman quality
in the wig.  Here Wally teases the hair out a little
to add body.

  The inside of the wig comes with 4 wig clips
sewn in the lining. These will lock into Wally's own
hair to insure that the wig stays securely on his
head.  The front lace will be glued down to Wally's
forehead for extra security.!
