CHARACTERS

In deference to Lon Chaney, Sr. the original Man of a 1,000 Faces, Wally refers to himself as The Man of 999 faces.

Chaney was always a hero to a young, monster magazine reading Wally. Chaney's influence can be seen in Wally's make-up kit, a huge refurbished fishing tackle kit. The kit holds everything from several pairs of prosthetic teeth, to foam latex noses, adhesives, glasses, pencils, greasepaints and accessories.

A good share of Wally's characters were created for a short-lived public access show called "Welcome to Hal-Land" in the early 90's. Each week the show's host Hal Lifson would welcome a different fantasy personality to the stage, be it Peter Pan, Zorro, the Pied Piper or any number of characters Wally could transform himself into.

Being a chameleon has always been, and will always be, Wally's favorite aspect of performing.

Other "man of many faces" actors who serve as strong influences for Wally include Mike Myers, Dustin Hoffman, Billy Bob Thornton and Sir Anthony Hopkins.
